RUVO May 9 AND FORGET THE ALDO MORO

Dear Director,
start by saying that he was brought up politically in the school of Aldo Moro from seventeen when I joined the Youth Movement of DC My father was a follower of the first hours, appreciating as political, cultural and human, not unconnected with the Christian witness, tough and honest, also emerged in the terrible days of his detention in prison of the people of the Red Brigades. With my mother were at his house, in via dei Fori triumphant in Rome, also well many years ago. I described a house without ostentation, common, and a simple and family friendly. In my office, next to my desk, there is a photo of Moro in Ruvo early 70s of previous century. The next are Trisorio Liuzzi, Francesco Anselmi, unforgettable political secretary of the DC, the Hon. Laforgia, I had the pleasure to review a few days ago. Behind him you can see the Hon. Dell'Andro and one of the men his escort, Oreste Leonardi, who is murdered that terrible March 16, 1978 in Via Fani.
When I read his writings and speeches, I find that ability to analyze the political situation there was in him, his vision, foresight and, in many ways, prophetic. Described in a recent book of Pansa, "The dear departed," as convoluted and incomprehensible, Moro had in fact a subtle and complex dialectic, not for taste or highbrow to muddy the waters, but because the exercise of thinking and of thinking is complex, it is not easy. Overall yes, then, but not overwhelming. The reality, especially that of today, is varied and articulated; politics, which is an exercise of realism, it reflects the joint, the complexity of relations and relationships, interests and demands. But there was in him even as the Utopia foreshadowing of a new phase of history and social emancipation from the ballast that was inherited from the past and weights. His reflections on the '68 - which was not all roses - were not cutting or claiming a return to order and severity, often in front of a world long gone, who survive in certain pockets of Italian society, but open by comparison, attentive to signs of the times, which were read and decrypted with intelligence and free-spirited and open.
Moro was not a traditionalist nor a conservative. Simply because the Christian can not be, as a child of the One who makes all things new. With Ruvo Moro had a very close relationship, which is renewed at each election and each time the country needed assistance to rise from the economic point of view. It would be a very long list of public works carried out thanks to his interest. But
Ruvo struggles to remember public, as seems to have forgotten another of his great benefactor, Senator. Jannuzzi Onofrio. I regret that political parties should keep alive the memory and teaching have passed unnoticed on May 9, in which we commemorate Moro and all victims of terrorism, including those of terror as the Sicilian Mafia Peppino Impastato, killed the same day he was killed Moro. I am sorry for one simple reason, because young people, especially those who want to get involved in politics will be increasingly deprived of cultural and moral reference points, spurred by the empty talk of the current national political class that, with few exceptions, does not offer a performance particularly edifying, or rather a show with showgirls, corrupt and escort. Remember Aldo Moro, Salvino, Tommaso Fiore, Berlinguer and others, with appropriate events, it is an exercise of rhetoric or a display of old stuff and silverware to the family, to give it a shine, but a moment of reflection on content of politics and life, what it means to do politics to serve people and communities. Without culture, we said Renato Dell'Andro, no politics. There's just improvisation and clumsiness, uncoordinated actions and breathless.
Dear Editor, is a low relief that I commend you and the dense crowd of Ruvo live, certain that I echo the thoughts and concerns of many members of the center ruvese parties that have approached me and with whom I talked at length. My hope is that we understand that only airing our cultural roots will be able to foster a real change in a more human and civil politics, both locally and national level.
accept my compliments.
