Sicilian music in the traditional manner

Voices of peoples, echoes of people, sounds like ripe fruit crops in the fields of Sicily. Authoritative voices of ordinary people. Voices, resonant with the visions of Sicily still little hectic for small countries, restricted communities, rural and seaside villages, islands in the island. Sounds that move between tradition and innovation, early music once passed down orally; verses replicated remodeled, rearranged for a modern audience that wants to know the people of this remote culture, that culture itself distorted by progress in recent decades that has developed to a thousand per hour. Cunti , ballads, sonnets, proverbs and found, or rather, found on collections of scholars, that blend with existing melodies composed by musicians of this group of Sicilian Doc

NEW CD

\u0026lt;... I Bedd are trained to listen to without taking anything for granted ...> writes so Amber Seba in his discourses on music and musicians published in one of the most interesting period Siciliani: The Storyteller . Musicians of Sicily are written in their manifestos, they are (and could not be more) players respectful of the culture. But respect does not prevent the group to innovate, modernize, realize the discourse on the Sicilian music. Quite the contrary. their proposal is innovative, current, ancient and modern at the same time, perhaps a result of for fun, surely played for the love of homeland. Continuously for years on tour the Bedd , Lazio back in October 16, 2010 to present their last record "Siciliazero" . Siciliazero is to start from scratch; Siciliazero is look back to understand the present; Siciliazero is an exploratory journey through the centuries; Siciliazero is a faithful observer; Siciliazero is a guide to the symbolic landscapes of the era modern; Siciliazero paraphrase is a common feeling. Bedd I interpret this feeling with a sincerity and spontaneity is not common, consciously put upside down what is now called the Sicilian new song to show the roots, trunk, branches so they can understand and explain the shapes and colors of the new fruits that emerge from modern leaves. Fruits sound of ringing marranzani beaten with sustainable innovation; of cane flutes, tambourines of elegant; of bagpipes evocative; of almonds and mandolins, trumpets, horns, Cianciana, guitars and chitarrine; harmonics, accordion, drums and tambourines, pianos and basses. Ripe fruits reminiscent of voices today, the past and the future.
