CONCERT
TERMINAL BATEAU
A melange of rhythms and sound between the momentum of the south and the collective sounds of engaging the North,
in pure Torinese, place of Occitan and the border between the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies.

I Terminal Bateau are a group that works in the folk songs Piedmont reinventing the musical heritage of the Franco-Provençal and Occitan, with a repertoire ranging from courente valleys of Piedmont, and the Bourree scottish French, until to Basque fandango. The group is composed of musicians (vocals, guitar, clarinet, an accordion, a violin and traditional percussion) motivated by the conviction that if the rediscovery and appreciation of a musical tradition as rich and interesting that Occitan and Franco-Provençal important in itself, this is still the most in a city like Turin, which has been and continues to be an important meeting between the cultures of North and South. The rediscovery of cultural roots shared by much of the population living in urban and music culture that stem from the Occitan, but over the centuries have been transmitted by contamination of rural culture enriched Nordic, English, French, predisposes to sympathy cultures of new immigrants and citizens make themselves more aware of their identity that was never understood in the sense of conflict, but always interesting to compare and exchange.
